But telecoupling is a new scientific concept (and of course it can be naughty :)), which deals at least with the connections between the effects of the humanity (f.e. globalization) and the nature. Telecoupling's aim is to understand and manage how humans and nature sustainably coexist.

I think it is a really important part of the science, because evertyhing is connected with everything, so I belive that we can't solve the big problems of the humanity (diseases, famine, etc.) without taking into consideration the nature, the effects of the environment we all live in.
